We were always curious about the many quaint places to eat around Muelle Port in Puerto Galera. We’ve never had the opportunity to sample any of them because as soon as we set foot on the pier, our ferry would always be ready to set sail. I have always thought we had impeccable timing because there was hardly any wait.
One time, our ferry ride to Manila was delayed by over an hour, so we decided to enter one of the cafès along the strip. Only then did I realise what we have been missing all along.
We weren’t hungry, but for a lack of anything better to do, we decided to snack on a pizza. We didn’t expect such a hefty serving and we were rather doubtful if we could even finish it all. It was simple yet full of flavor. Having a penchant for spice, we drenched every bite in their homemade chili oil which made it even more delicious. Before we knew it, we were down to our last slice.
Le Bistro may have many other pleasant surprises tucked under their rustic and no-frills exterior. We’re looking forward to trying out the rest of the items on the menu the next time we’re in Puerto Galera. This may prove to be one of our favourite stops in this side of town. I can’t wait to find out!
